Will War

Appertaining to the above 2.0 sneaks I have only this to say: Cold War. That's right, I am in fact, and have been for several days now, engaged in a most trying battle of wits ... with myself. You see my jolly e-friends, I am sitting in my living room, pouring over the compelling fashion writings of this month's ELLE magazine (ok fine, staring at Becks' pecs, and wondering if he might consider making this 'cover girl' thing a monthly engagement). And enjoying myself immensily I would be too, were it not for the incessant shivers rippling through my body and soul. What a comically exaggerated sight I must be. Teeth chattering, goose-bumping, hairs-arising... My predicament is of course that of my avowed stubborn refusal to turn the heating back on. ITS JUNE PEOPLE. JUNE. And before you accuse me of digressing, you may as well know that the kicks are a gift from self to yours truly. A medal of sorts for standing my ground and sticking up for what I believe in. The sentiment is grand even if the pain is real. Goodnight.

Concernant les sneakers 2.0 ci-dessus, je n'ai que deux mots à dire: guerre froide. L'heure est grave mes e-friends, je suis depuis quelques jours déjà engagée dans un conflit des plus éprouvants ... avec moi même. Voyez-vous, je suis dans mon salon en train de dévorer les billets pointus de mon nouveau ELLE (bon ok, en train de mater les pecs de Beckham, la 'cover girl' de ce mois-ci), et je grelotte. Je tremble. Je frissonne. Je chair-de-poule. C'en est presque comique. Je dis bien presque, parce que, dois-je vraiment vous le rappeler, nous sommes en JUIN. EN JUIN LES GENS. Donc je refuse de rallumer le chauffage. C'est un principe on ne peut plus honorable, vous en conviendrez. Et avant que vous ne m'accusiez de passer du coq à l'âne, laissez moi vous dire le rapport entre mes baskets et mon radiateur. Il s'agit d'un cadeau, pour bibi de la part de bibi. Une sorte de médaille de guerre pour m'encourager à tenir bon. Pourvu que je passe la nuit!
