Geometry on the run

Why be boring and wear your own clothes when your imported friend is over visiting all the way from the land down under, with a wardrobe (in the form of three giant suitcases) packed chock-a-block full of accoutrements that you suddenly realise you should have snatched up when they first hit the rack? Especially in light of fashion's newfound love for the checkered stuff. You don't have to answer that. Rather, let's mourn this masterpiece of a coat together. 

I'm not normally one to commit all of my earnings to high-end goods that I can't afford without going hungry, so it always comes as a refreshing surprise when high-street mavens give birth to biological offspring - the kind that has not been conceived by IVF using, say, a (stolen) Philo egg, or a Kenzo gene or two.  As much as we all end-up guiltily eyeing up those very test-tube babies in our local Zara, you must admit there is nothing more exhilarating than finding something unique on the high-street.

And Unique this coat most definitely is (pun not - ok fine, pun fully intended). Compelling outerwear just doesn't get much better than this. Oh why did I not get this geometric beauty when I had the chance? The only thing that softens the pain is the pixelated proof of things to come. Oh Kate, you really know how to make the girl-on-a-budget's heart sing.
