It's not so much that editorials haven't inspired me of late, quite the opposite, in fact - heck was this not the month that I decided to give Tumblr a go, in a desperate bid to prevent my virtual scrapbooks from spiralling out of control? So why the sudden high fashion moodboard you might wonder... That thing, the one whereby the stylist throws caution to the wind and brings a true oddball to show-and-tell gets me every time. The adrenaline of the unexpected, if you will.

And adrenaline, this girl seems to ooze out of every pore.

The graphic, colour-blocked motorcycling gear from Shift elevates the story above and beyond the realm of that tight-knit family that was christened Fashion capital f. Am I the only one disappointed not to see it labelled in the styling credits? Spill the beans, Emmanuelle.

  1. No you're not the only one, Shift definitely should have scored a mention. The story simply wouldn't have been the same without their graphic goodness.
I tend to favour editorials that step outside the 'family' and throw you a curveball. Too much same same is bad for the soul.

  4. I love the extra edge that Shift's gear brings to this editorial, so I definitely agree that it wasn't in the styling credits. Or maybe the editors thought that their logo in several different shots was enough?

  11. I tend to rely on inspiration from the glossies for one of my blogs and struggled through most of April without quite finding just the right thing to get my creative juices flowing. UNTIL THIS. tripped out and am falling all over myself in an effort to get the whole thing to come together. EA does it again! xxB.
