Gaga for ginghamThursday, June 16 2016
Got my hands on what I am officially crowning the best skirt in fashion right now. Quite the statement to back, so I feel the need to justify the LOVE.
L is for Length. Flashing just enough skin to let my glimmery new anklet do all the sexy talk, the midi length is #sohotrightnow. Plus, who needs to get their legs out when they are wrapped in such a fun and feminine piece of cloth. Lady red emoji, your updated look for summer is here!
O is for One of a Kind. FROW excluded, there is little chance of running into someone sporting these exact ruffles on your day to day rounds. No one wants to be made to stage an awkward ‘twinning‘ instashot when caught rocking the same gorgeous-but-global off-the-shoulder mini as that randomer on the other side of the room. (nb: labels to stay way from to avoid #whoworeitbetter moments include: official sponsor to every-event-ever Self Portrait, trend copycat Zara and French girl uniform Isabel Marant)
V is for VA-VA-VOOM. Ruffles + gingham + texture + twirl factor = boom sparkles. The overall effect is nothing short of sensational. Total knockout.
E is for Ease. Although the label may read high fashion, this flamenco-ish number is actually extremely versatile. Day, to night, back to day (or as we sometimes like to call it, walk of shame), you will never feel out of place, while always turning heads. Wear everyday with clean kicks and a slouchy tee; vamp up for a date with a 90s silk spaghetti top; and break hearts (preferably your ex’s) at a wedding with golden accessories and a statement top. Slay queen slay!
I rest my case.
